Statement on the negotiations regarding the war in Ukraine

The live broadcast of the bargaining between those responsible for the carnage in Ukraine does not predict anything positive for the people, nor is it focused on "peacemaking" and the "end of bloodshed," as provocatively presented, but rather the division of territory, "security guarantees" — that is, how the political-military correlation between NATO and Russian forces in Ukrainian territory will be settled — the business of large monopolistic groups and arms packages.
The two camps that were supposed to be divided by a " gap in values," the "liberals" and the "authoritarians," the "right" and the "wrong side of history," are now sitting at the same table and drawing up maps and borders with the blood of the peoples, dividing up their cities, villages, and homes, their natural wealth, and the "pie" of rebuilding Ukraine, which has been ravaged by their war.
Whatever specific developments there may be in the coming days, whatever compromise may be reached, it will be fragile and will not change the general direction of developments, which are moving towards escalation, since the causes of the major rivalries will remain intact, in conditions of conflict for world supremacy.
In view of the above, our people have no interest in remaining in the role of "spectator" of the repulsive shows staged by the hawks of war, while on the front lines people continue to "fall" every day. What is needed now is to strengthen popular intervention, the struggle to end Greece's multifaceted involvement in the imperialist war, to prevent any thought of sending troops to Ukraine in the context of the so-called security guarantees with the "stamp" of NATO and the EU, to stop the ongoing military aid to the Zelensky regime, that solidarity with the peoples suffering from the ravages of imperialist wars be expressed more decisively and, at the same time, that the struggle against the causes of these wars be strengthened.
