We have been informed by the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) regarding an act of provocation at the expense of the Party. As an Declaration of the Political Bureau of the CC of PCV stresses, an effort is made that the PCV is connected to "terrorist, fascist, corrupt and anti-national acts." Such is the case against c. Yhon Luna, member of the CC of the PCV and Deputy of the Legislative Council of Táchira State of Venezuela.

According to the PCV, this provocation is directed towards thwarting the investigations on the grounds of the serious complaints that c. Yhon Luna has made against corruption, against the mafias and against infringements of the fundamental rights of respect of human life, that presumably have been perpetrated by the administrative judicial institutions and by officials of the security forces of the State.

The Communist Party of Greece (ΚΚΕ) manifests its total solidarity with the struggle of the Communist Party of Venezuela, in favor of the interests of the working people in the cities and in the countryside and energetically condemns the effort to connect the PCV, its leaders and members with acts that have nothing to do with the practices of mass class struggle that the Venezuelan Communists follow.
